Physical Therapy
What makes our physical therapy unique?
Our physical therapy program is a true sports medicine practice. It takes place in a gym, amongst athletes, to help each person reach their goals.
This collaborative approach of physical therapy and strength and conditioning is unique. We take pride in preparing our athletes both physically and mentally to return to the sports and activities they love. Most typical rehab programs fall short here as they are not equipped to appropriately challenge the athletic population.

At Parks Training and Therapy we want to provide care to our patients that is not dictated by billion dollar insurance companies. We want to provide a value to our clientele that operates outside of the norms of a traditional healthcare clinic. Parks Training and Therapy strives to put the patient first. Your experience will be direct, one-on-one care crafted from research-based methods and second to none expertise. Parks Training and Therapy is intentionally out-of-network to allow for full transparency of cost to the patient and free from any limitations as determined by the big box insurance companies and third party reviewers. We work for you and no one else. Because cash pay physical therapists like Parks Training and Therapy are out-of-network with your insurance company, they have the freedom to create a customized plan to address your injury, discuss your goals, and collaborate with you on a plan of care. By removing the headaches and demands of insurance companies, cash pay therapists are able to focus on what matters most: creating a personalized physical therapy experience where patients receive early access, attention, continuity of care, and immediate results.

If cash-based physical therapy rates seem daunting to you, realize that even with health insurance, many patients are still responsible for copays and deductibles per physical therapy visit which continue to increase, or worse, are completely unpredictable. You will usually pay out of pocket for physical therapy whether you use your insurance benefits or not. What is different is the overall QUALITY of the services and the VALUE you experience at each visit.
For a physical therapy clinic to be in-network with insurance companies, they agree to accept an insurance company's rates, which are ever-changing and are getting lower and lower. As a result, the clinic will try to make up for the reduced insurance rates by increasing the volume of patients they see. This means that patients might be double or triple booked on one therapist's schedule.

The result:
-
Minimal face time with the physical therapist, the expert you are meant to see
-
Different physical therapists for each visit leading to inconsistent care
-
Portions of your session supervised by a physical therapy assistant
Cash-based physical therapists are out-of-network with insurance companies. Removing the third-party insurance company from the relationship gives the purchasing power back to the patient and the decision making back to the therapists.
Paying cash for physical therapy services puts you, the patient, back in the driver’s seat, allowing you to make informed decisions regarding your own care and spending your time and money wisely.
What they are saying...

Gage Sedoris - Ursuline High School Soccer
Going to Troy Parks for my sons therapy was the best decision we could of
made. Diagnosed with a hip labrum injury at the end of high school soccer
season, he was left with excruciating pain in the hip that was limiting his time
on the field going into club season. After failed results from other doctors and
being directed towards surgery, a friend recommended Troy. Not only did Troy
follow up the same day I reached out but he saw him the next day to get
evaluated.(Who else does that!?!) After evaluation, treatment started that week.
He developed a custom workout to help strengthen his target area. Within the
first weeks at training, my son loved going. Troy has a great attitude for helping
and has created a great environment within his community that stood out to my
son. It makes it worth driving 30 minutes there 3 days a week! Now just a little
over 2 months with working with Troy, we can see an improvement. Gage is back to practice and playing tournaments without being limited by the pain. Troy has created a great program whether you are looking for strength training, therapy for an injury, or a combination of both. We are looking forward to continuing training with Troy.
Brooke Sauerwein - South Range High School
My husband and I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Troy
Parks for his rehabilitation for our daughter Brooke after her surgery. After her
surgery Brooke desperately wanted to play sports her senior year and we were
fortunate to have someone recommend Troy for her strength and rehab. When
we first came to Troy we were immediately impressed by his personality, focus,
and professional dedication. We are convinced that the rapidity of improvement
and eventual recovery of Brooke’s knee are clearly directly related to the
wonderful care he showed her. Our experience with Troy helping Brooke was so
impressive that we soon started our younger daughter Devin out with Troy.
Thanks again for a truly pleasurable experience!

Maria Fusillo - Ursuline High School
The decision to send my daughter to Troy Parks for rehab and training is
rewarding. Troy developed a personalized training for Maria that has rehabbed
her ankle injury, as well as incorporating a training aspect that has enhanced
her athleticism. She continues to develop in strength and speed. Her
performance on the soccer field is strong, and a noted confidence in the athletic
mentally, developing a drive to not only maintain outstanding performance, but
continue to perfect it. Troy is dedicated to pushing Maria to display an
astounding athletic performance. I would recommend Troy Parks to any athlete
ready to excel in any sport.
